We know from our own team and countless events that Posit users represent various points on the spectrums of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, age, abilities, wealth, language, and politics, that can unite and divide people.
We welcome all who come to learn and enjoy the experience without prejudice and ask attendees to help us make the posit::conf a fantastic time for everyone.
We take pride in the wide-reaching impact our products have on many across the world and expect our events to reflect and encourage that same diversity. Posit continues to celebrate the diversity of our community by reducing or removing some barriers to conference attendance and participation.
Posit also considers diversity as part of the selection criteria for speakers, organizers, and workshop instructors to ensure those that share their knowledge and experience reflect the depth, complexity, and diversity of our community.
Posit is also taking several steps to make the conference space as inclusive and accessible as possible, including providing the following:
- Gender neutral bathrooms
- A lactation room
- A quiet room
- Accessible options for attendee transportation, hotel rooms, and conference events
- A live streaming option for the general conference session
