Posit::conf is back and we can’t wait to see you in Seattle!
Posit::conf(2024) is one day of workshops, two days of conference keynotes and talks, and is the ultimate hub for mastering data science and creating connections in the open source community. Registration for in-person tickets is now open, happening August 12-14 in Seattle, WA! Visit pos.it/conf for additional information, including details on how to register. Registration for virtual attendees will open at a later date.

What can I expect at posit::conf(2024)?
Posit::conf is a great chance to connect and network with other data enthusiasts! We’re expecting 1500 data professionals to join us in Seattle this year. Our workshops are a great way to gain hands-on, practical skills in a topic. This year we have almost 30 one-day workshops to choose from! Our workshops run the gamut from an introduction to R or Python to advanced Shiny or tidymodels. You can find a complete list of the workshops here.
Last, but not least, hear the latest and greatest from thought leaders in the open-source community through keynotes, talks, and hands-on sessions. Our program team is busy carefully curating the full agenda, which we can’t wait to share with you soon.
Opportunity Scholarships
We are excited to announce that Posit will continue to provide opportunity scholarships to individuals worldwide who are members of an underrepresented group so they can attend posit::conf(2024). These groups include people of color, those with disabilities, elders/older adults, LGBTQ folks, and women/minority genders. There are 40 scholarship opportunities up for grabs!
Opportunity Scholarships will include the following:
- Conference registration
- A room at the conference hotel
- Choice of an in-person workshop
- Travel support in the form of reimbursement for flight/train/bus/cab, and incidentals totaling:
- Domestic travelers: up to $1000 for airfare (economy class), and $275 for incidentals
- International travelers: up to $2500 for airfare (economy class), and $275 for incidentals
- And, of course, swag!
Submission for the Opportunity Scholars program closes at midnight on March 22 anywhere on Earth. We will communicate decisions by April 2.
