David Sluder is a data science senior program manager at the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations, a non-profit company that sets standards for safety and reliability across the US nuclear power industry. A long, winding road led him to his current position, having worked as a database administrator, engineering educator, event organizer, and glass bead maker. He enjoys solving complex technical problems, being a champion for open-source software, and finding opportunities to laugh and connect with others.
