Gerard Sentveld is the Director of Data Analytics Operational Risk Management at Prudential. Gerard has over 25 years of experience as a data expert in a variety of industries from local government, utilities, telecom, pharmaceuticals and most recently the insurance industry. Gerard is currently responsible for managing data science initiatives that quantify operational risk for his stakeholders. In previous roles he hosted data science competitions and connected data scientists from across the enterprise with each other. Gerard earned his MS in Computer Science from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. Outside of work he is always trying to improve his sound system and find new music to listen to.
