Liyang Diao

Liyang Diao is the Director of Data Science at ROME Therapeutics, a biotech focused on harnessing the swath of the human genome comprised of repetitive elements, which to date has been overlooked in human health and disease. Her industry experience also includes work in the microbiome field at Seres Therapeutics, where she was part of the team that brought the first oral microbiome therapeutic through FDA approval (VOWSTTM), and where she found herself particularly drawn to emerging fields where genomic data play a critical translational role.
