VP of Baseball Systems at the Miami Marlins
Brian Chase joined the Marlins in January 2025 as Vice President of Baseball Systems. In his role, he leads the Baseball Systems group consisting of data engineering, machine learning engineering, software engineering, and software development. Brian and the Baseball Systems department drive the development of technical infrastructure supporting Research and Development and the wider Baseball Operations group.
Brian spent the previous three years with FanDuel as Director of Engineering (2021-24), leading strategy for FanDuel’s retail sports betting business, overseeing all technical and operational capabilities across FanDuel’s United States retail locations, serving as the strategic head of technology. Prior to FanDuel, Brian worked as the Director of Engineering for Baseball Data at Major League Baseball for two years (2019-21). At MLB, he served as a technical and managerial leader for baseball data, statistics, and products.
He obtained a Master of Business Administration, Entertainment, Media & Technology and Business Analytics from New York University’s Stern School of Business, and also earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, N.Y.).
