Posit Signs Strategic Collaboration Agreement with AWS

The strategic collaboration agreement (SCA) allows enterprises to seamlessly migrate to the cloud to build, run, and leverage critical data science outcomes.

BOSTON, September 12, 2025 – Posit PBC, a leader in open-source and professional software for data science teams using Python and R, today announced that it has signed a strategic collaboration agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS). This SCA will help customers accelerate their data science journey and modernize their data infrastructure for greater agility and cost efficiency.

The SCA enhances Posit’s integrations with key AWS services, making it easier for organizations to build, run, and develop critical data science workloads in the cloud. Posit helps customers leverage AWS infrastructure and data systems while optimizing their data workflows with tools like Posit Workbench, Posit Connect, and Posit Package Manager. The collaboration delivers significant value by streamlining cloud-based data science, enabling frictionless workflows for fast iteration and flexible choice of tools, all while giving IT the governance, observability, scalability, and security controls they need to operate with confidence.

Under the agreement, Posit and AWS will develop enhanced integrations with AWS services, including Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS), Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), and AWS Lambda.

Posit already features over 100+ validated integrations specifically designed for AWS services, including Amazon Redshift, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, AWS Lambda, Amazon EKS, Amazon Athena, and Amazon S3. This SCA will deepen these integrations and create new capabilities that leverage elastic compute resources for dynamic workload scaling on AWS.
