posit::conf(2024) is just around the corner, and we can’t wait for all the amazing workshops, talks, social events, and the overall fantastic time in Seattle!

One of the best things about the conference is the people you meet. Here are some of the folks attending posit::conf who you might run into while sipping coffee, collecting hex stickers, or hanging out in the lounge!

Kelly Bodwin, Assistant Professor of Statistics at California Polytechnic State University, is so excited about the conference that she planned her wedding date around it! Kelly will be giving a talk with Colin Gillespie, Heather Turner, and Dave Slager on “Building Sustainable Open Source Ecosystems: Lessons From the #rstats Community and an NSF Grant.” Ask Kelly about the new aperol package 🍹

Christoph Scheuch will talk about how R and Python improve finance research and education, aiding finance professionals in applying its principles for better teaching and research. Check out his resource tidy-finance.org, available in both languages!

Louis M. Penrod, Data Programmer for the Cognigen Division of Simulations Plus, shared his excitement on Mastodon about attending the conference. He’s looking forward to the DevOps for Data Scientists workshop led by Rika Gorn and the Tidyverse Developer Day! Do you have ideas on bridging the gap between being an R user and an R developer that you can share with Louis?

We can’t wait to see everyone at posit::conf(2024)! Whether you’re attending workshops, listening to talks, or just mingling, it’s a great opportunity to connect with fellow data enthusiasts and expand your knowledge. Don’t forget to share your own bio using the hashtag #positconf2024!
