Lead Data Scientist at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida

Brijesh is currently a Lead Data Scientist at Florida Blue. He has over 10 years of experience in working with Machine Learning after obtaining his Ph.D. in computer science from the Missouri University of Science and Technology. He is a full stack lead where he oversees development of ML algorithms applied to the healthcare domain, maintains and oversees the MLOps at Florida Blue, and works with business partners. He also maintains and moderates the internal Florida Blue equivalent of stack overflow, where about 150 developers share their questions, resolve issues, and post updates about their data science or analytics work. He graduated from the Ignite emerging leaders’ cohort in September 2023, a training program for emerging leaders at Guidewell, Florida Blue’s parent company.
