Updates in this release

In this release of the RStudio Pro Drivers, you can now authenticate to Hive and Impala using single sign-on (SSO) via SAML 2.0. For more information, see the Installation and Configuration Guides. This release also contains feature enhancements, security updates, and bug-fixes for these other drivers:

  • BigQuery
  • MySQL
  • Netezza
  • Oracle
  • PostgreSQL
  • Snowflake
  • SQL Server
  • Teradata.

Upgrading

We strongly encourage all customers to upgrade to the latest release of the RStudio Pro Drivers. Upgrading drivers literally takes minutes and can help prevent future security and administrative issues. Please note that this is also the first RStudio Pro Driver release to use our new calendar-based versioning scheme.
