rstudio::conf 2018, the conference on all things R and RStudio, is only a few months away. Now is the time to claim your spot or grab one of the few remaining seats at Training Days!

Whether you’re already registered or still working on it, we’re delighted today to announce the full conference schedule, so that you can plan your days in San Diego. rstudio::conf 2017 takes place January 31-Feb 3 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, California.

This year we have over 60 talks:

  • Keynotes by Dianne Cook “To the Tidyverse and Beyond: Challenges for the Future in Data Science” and JJ Allaire “Machine Learning with R and TensorFlow”

  • 14 invited talks from outstanding speakers, innovators, and data scientists.

  • 18 contributed talks from the R community on topics like “Branding and automating your work with R Markdown“, “Reinforcement learning in Minecraft with CNTK-R”, and “Training an army of new data scientists”.

  • And 28 talks by RStudio employees on the latest developments in the tidyverse, spark profiling, Shiny, R Markdown, databases, RStudio Connect, and more!

Hadley Wickham

Chief Scientist, Posit
Hadley is Chief Scientist at Posit PBC, winner of the 2019 COPSS award, and a member of the R Foundation. He builds tools (both computational and cognitive) to make data science easier, faster, and more fun. His work includes packages for data science (like the tidyverse, which includes ggplot2, dplyr, and tidyr)and principled software development (e.g. roxygen2, testthat, and pkgdown). He is also a writer, educator, and speaker promoting the use of R for data science.
